Dr. David Kaufman is visiting professor of American Jewish Studies at HUC-JIR, Los Angeles. Previously the Florence and Robert Kaufman Endowed Chair in Jewish Studies at Hofstra University, he has also taught in the undergraduate Jewish studies program of the University of Southern California. He his the author of Jewhooing the the Sixties: American Celebrity and Jewish Identity (Brandeis University Press, 2012).

Dr. Joshua Holo, dean of the HUC-JIR Jack H. Skirball Campus in Los Angeles and associate professor of Jewish history, publishes on the Jews of the medieval Mediterranean.
